rayo kill- Just a suggestion, but a little research never hurts. It has pretty much been confirmed she hit a mine. The U-boat in question (U-73) carried mines and was on mine laying duty in the area. Britannic struck one of U-73's mines. The UC-1 and UE-1 type U-Boats were both equipped as minelayers in the North Sea and Mediterranean Sea as well as Atlantic Ocean. A U-boat deployed mine can definitely sink a large ship, as a matter of fact, U-73 also sunk a full size Battleship (HMS Russell) with her mines a few months before Britannic. Britannic does not have armor plating or an armor belt, meaning she has no defense against a torpedo or a mine. It has been theorized that she was carrying ammunition as some Hospital ships (large ones atleast) also doubled as supply ships, which led to a larger explosion. Coal dust from her bunkers also has been theorized as part of it too. Aufschlag means Surcharge, btw. also the C/06, G/6 and G35/91 torpedoes used on the WW1 U-boats did not have delay timers, they exploded on impact. U-boats layed a small variety of Mines in WW1, the most common being high explosive magnetic mines. Magnetic mines worked like they sounded, the steel hulls of ships caused the mines to attract and of course explode upon contact. Britannic more than likely hit a magnetic mine. the mines had anywhere from 40 to 300lbs of explosives, more than enough to rip a massive hole in the side of any ships, especially unarmored ships (like Britannic). I think you are thinking about HMS Lusitania, which was sunk by a torpedo launched by U-20.

Awesome Algodoo Mmm Jeah why the fuck the find a german uboot just 1 km and the hole was to small for a mine is a torpedo mode set to Aufschlag in english If the torpedo hit it will wait 1 sec and then in will blow so the hole is big Rpp matematika kelas xi ipa ktsp.
